I was looking up "Pneumonia" online and here's what I found on webmd, the most trusted site for medical information. I found the entry pretty amusing.
"You can get pneumonia in your daily life, such as at school or work. This is called community-associated pneumonia. You can also get it when you are in a hospital or nursing home. This is called healthcare-associated pneumonia."
What next? You can also get it when you are in a flight or a bus. This is called travel-associated pneumonia. You can also get it when you are on vegan diet or wearing a emerald necklace. This is called green-associated pneumonia.
"Germs called bacteria or viruses usually cause pneumonia."
I was under the impression that leeches and spiders are responsible for most infections known to man. Hold on, it gets better.
"When you have mild symptoms, your doctor may call this 'walking pneumonia'".
When the symptoms gets worse, the nurse may call this 'running pneumonia'. When symptoms are severe and you feel you are going to die, the surgeon may call this 'leaping pneumonia'. Lord Haydes or Lord Yama may call this 'welcome pneumonia' but that's immaterial.
I am not sure who entered this for webmd. But sure was a lot of fun to read.
